New Web Show: “In Production” launches!

February 14, 2012 — 4 Comments

I’m very happy to present a brand new blog show.

In Production” is a brand new video chat program where hosts Carey Dissmore (that’s me) and Steve Oakley discuss tools and topics related to the video production business from their unique perspective as independent production business owner/operators.

This show will be produced periodically as series around specific topics. Our first series is on the topic of Color Grading and DaVinci Resolve. This series is comprised of 6 episodes, to be released weekly. The first two episodes are embedded below.

We hope you like this show and, as always, welcome your comments. Cheers.

  1. Carey:

Great job! Love the look of the show and the tone and pacing of the exchange between you and Steve. Very clear and easy to follow.

One problem tonote, I second episode was dropping frames at edit points. Doesn’t usually happen on my home system. Remind me again which cameras are you using. The shots matched beautifully.

    • Thanks Kevin. Can’t comment on YouTube performance as it’s not really under my control. But I’ll keep an eye on it.

The show was shot on 3 Canon 60D’s set up the same in the menus, but the lenses were actually a mix. It was graded in Resolve more for overall level control and color adjustment, not camera matching. The three cameras matched up just fine out of the gate.
